Important Information for U.S. Citizens:
Hoan Kiem District Police announced that a local man has been appearing at the gates of public schools during release time.
Police say the man has, “the intention to lure school children, mainly young boys. Regularly he has asked them to ride on his motorcycle to go receive some papers, and in return, he promises cash.”
Hoan Kiem District Police have heightened security at school gates during dismissal. School administrators have reminded students not to talk to, contact, or follow strangers, and request parents closely arrange pick-up times.
Subject description: Aged between 35-40, height about 1m67 – 1m72 (about 5ft 6in). He often wears a long-sleeved sun-protection shirt, dark colored clothing, and a black motorcycle helmet. He has been spotted driving a red Honda Air Blade scooter (version 2009) with a four-digit plate number covered by golden butterfly stickers.
