Hanoi, May 19, 2014 — The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and U.S. Consulate General in HCMC are pleased to announce a logo design contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary of normalization of U.S.‐Vietnam relations. We are seeking the Vietnamese people’s creativity to design an original, dynamic anniversary logo celebrating the promising future we share.
Applicants may submit up to two entries by 5 pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2014. The winner and finalists will be announced later in 2014.
First prize: iPad Air and an official certificate from the Embassy
Second prize: iPod Touch and an official certificate from the Embassy
Third prize: iPod Shuffle and an official certificate from the Embassy
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges. The winning logo will be used in U.S. Embassy and Consulate anniversary event materials throughout the upcoming year.

Contest Rules:
Contest submissions must comply with the following rules:
Contest is open to the Vietnamese public (must have a Vietnamese
ID card), excluding members of the 20th Anniversary Logo Design
Contest Judging Panel. Contest void where prohibited.
Entries must be created digitally and formatted to a jpeg file with
72dpi, at least 3MB, but not larger than 5 MB. All entries must be
submitted to the following address:

Entries must be bilingual.
Entries must be an original work by the submitting individual, and
may not infringe upon other intellectual property or copyrighted
materials. Finalists will be required to submit a signature attesting
to the originality of your artwork. In order to claim the contest prize,
the winner must relinquish all intellectual property rights, and
ownership of the winning entry to the U.S. Embassy. By participating in the contest, the winner grants the U.S. Mission
permission to use, copy, modify or alter the image as needed
without further compensation to you.
Participants are allowed to submit up to two entries. Partial or
incomplete work may be disqualified from the contest.
Submissions including any objectionable, offensive, or copyrighted
material will be disqualified from the contest.
Submitted entries may be displayed by the U.S. Mission at the
conclusion of the contest, showcasing finalist entries.
Submission form will require you to write a brief description in
English of the design concept, including why you chose to submit
the entry, what the artwork means to you and explain any
symbolism used and how the artwork follows the theme of the
contest.
The U.S. Mission is not responsible for lost or missing submissions.

All entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30,
2014. Contest entries will be judged by the 20th Anniversary Logo
Design Contest Judging Panel. The U.S. Mission reserves the right to
extend this deadline, if necessary. Winners will be announced at a
ceremony at a date to be announced later in 2014.
