Last week, U.S. State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Resources Ambassador Mary Warlick met with Vietnam’s Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Cao Quoc Hung, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Vinh and other government and private sector representatives to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation. The Government of Vietnam recently approved a Department of State technical assistance program to help Vietnam develop its competitive electricity market. Energy cooperation is an important part of the Comprehensive Agreement signed by the Presidents of the two countries in July 2013 http://goo.gl/TbKPAI
